POSITION #1:              National Accounts Manager

JOB CODE:             

DEPARTMENT:      Sales Department     

HOURS:                    FULL-TIME

LOCATION:             Boca Raton

STATUS:                   EXEMPT

REPORTS TO:         Vice President of Sales


The National Accounts Manager is responsible for sales to Library Suppliers by working closely with the accounts in the territory.   National Accounts Manager is responsible for maximizing the supply chain in the territory and working on metadata projects which benefit the wider Sales department.  

Responsibilities include creating and monitoring reports, understanding industry standards and how we implement them, analyzing sales trends, and liaising with other departments to improve sales workflows.

Main duties are:

  • Named Accounts include GOBI, ProQuest/Coutts, Midwest Library Suppliers
  • Collaborate with marketing to choose/create ads for contractual cooperative advertising
  • Inform the business of sales trends, including sell through, inventory, and returns
  • Present key titles on a Quarterly Basis
  • Visit accounts as needed. Attend appropriate industry conferences, such as BEA.
  • Reporting as needed.
  • Work with other department to ensure all negotiated terms are applied.
  • Establish data feeds and automated processes for the channel.
  • Handle all announcements to the industry of our acquisitions, price increases, platform updates, and other Operational changes

Sales / Operation Tasks:

  • Provide monthly reports, including detailed sales forecasts
  • Create and implement new sales strategies that will stimulate and achieve sales targets
  • Other tasks as assigned


  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills a must
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Self starter with the ability to work independently


  • Sales/marketing experience in publishing preferred, not required
  • proficiency with Word, Power Point and Excel required
  • experience with CRM software
  • 3-5 years’ working experience in the channel.  

POSITION #2: – Account Manager, Digital Content Sales  

JOB CODE:              DCMTM

DEPARTMENT:      Library Sales

HOURS:                    FULL-TIME

LOCATION:             Territory based

STATUS:                   EXEMPT

REPORTS TO:         Library Sales Director


The Account Manager is responsible for sales of all ebooks and online database products to the Academic Library market in his or her assigned territory.  This individual will be focused on securing new subscriptions to reference databases, along with customizing eBook packages.


  • Meet and exceed sales goals for existing and new T&F online products within assigned territory as defined by sales management.
  • Generate customized quotes; negotiate and execute sales agreements.
  • Display a thorough knowledge of T&F digital products and the markets we serve.
  • Contact customers via phone and email, introduce T&F online products and cross sell products to new and existing customers within assigned territory.
  • Follow up on all online product trials along with any expired subscriptions within territory as required.
  • Respond to RFPs from prospective customers.
  • Position requires approximate 30% travel:
    • Visit top customers at least once a year, focus on up-selling the entire product line
    • Visit prospective customers to present/demo product line—strong presentation skills required
    • Represent T&F at exhibits and conventions
  • Assist with the resolution of customer issues where appropriate
  • Provide weekly and/or monthly reports detailing sales and trial activities within territory
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Understanding of the Academic library market preferred
