ATG Quirkies: Do you have a favorite place to read?

According to this post in the Paris ReviewMelissa Catanese, in her new book, Voyagers, “compiles anonymous black-and-white found photographs of people lost in that liminal space between this world and a fictional one.”

Fortunately for us, and the readers of the Paris Review, these photographs create a compelling photo essay that speaks to the personal and intimate nature of reading. In these photos the readers are “vulnerable to our gaze, while their minds travel to places we cannot imagine.”

(Thanks, as always, to John Riley of Gabriel Books for providing ATG Quirkies)
