Denver’s Rodolfo “Corky” Gonzales Branch Library has found a new way to expand services and raise money at the same time.

During a recent Sunday, “six artists from Certified Tattoo set up shop for Books & Ink – a library promotion where “bookworms and library customers could get literary inspired tattoos” and donate money to the library.

The Books & Ink event was inspired by the success of a previous “Books for Tattoos” program, in which librarians offered book recommendations based on patrons’ tattoos,” coming up with more than 600 suggestions for tattoo aficionados.

(Thanks, as always, to John Riley of Gabriel Books for providing ATG Quirkies)
