ATG Quirkies: The Story Behind the First Book Published in the (then to be) United States

This post by Suzanne Raga on the Mental Floss website sounds like it was torn from the pages of a historical thriller.

It tells the story of the Bay Psalm Book, a Puritan hymnal—the first book printed in what would become the United States.  Key elements from the plot line include “an escape from England, an indentured servant with a mysterious past, and an untimely death while crossing the Atlantic.” Needless to say it makes for some pretty interesting reading.

(Thanks to John Riley of Gabriel Books for providing ATG Quirkies)
