Researchers from Brown University are claiming that a Mayan Codex, that has met with skepticism since it was supposedly unearthed by looters more than 50 years ago is actually genuine. And not only that, it is “likely the most ancient of all surviving manuscripts from ancient America.”

A paper authored by a team of archaeologists was published in the journal Maya ArchaeologyIn it they reviewed “all known research on the manuscript,” analyzing it “without regard to the politics, academic and otherwise” concluding that the codex was, in fact, real.  Click here for the full story.
