Reporting to the Dean of Libraries, the Associate Dean for Collections provides transformational vision and leadership for developing the collections of University Libraries, including oversight of the general collections budget. The Associate Dean for Collections provides guidance, support, and coordination for all general and special collections operations in acquisitions, collection development, cataloging and resource description, and preservation. The position plays a lead role in planning and implementing strategies for acquiring and licensing electronic collections and preserving physical collections in line with the library’s strategic plan.
