ATG Quirkies: He Must Have Figured No One Read His Book

by | Aug 8, 2016 | 0 comments

stealing-294489_640In a strange case of life imitating art, the Local.de website reports that “a Leipzig man who wrote crime novels – including one about a thwarted bank robbery – appeared in court on Wednesday, charged with bank robbery himself.”  It seems that just like a character in one of his novels, the author ran into some serious money problems and his solution was the same – rob a bank!  He even had the same escape plan!!

Needless to say, the result was the same. He was caught not far from the bank with €40,000 in ill gotten gains.

(Thanks again to John Riley of Gabriel Books for providing ATG Quirkies!)
