Glitchy neon marbled paper.

Since 2011,  The Art of Google Books has collected and showcased analog and digital anomalies and curiosities found in the Google Books database.

The books from which the art is taken come from titles as diverse as The Art of Sea-Fighting by Robert Park (1706);  A Gift for Sabbath School Children by Amanda M. Corey Edmond (1852);   Throughout Ranch Life and the Hunting-trail by Theodore Roosevelt (1888); The Souls of Black Folk: Essays and Sketches by W. E. Burghardt Du Bois (1907); and Football and How to Watch It by Percy Duncan Haughton (1922).

(Thanks, as always, to John Riley of Gabriel Books for providing ATG Quirkies!)
