According to Ben Marks in this Collectors Weekly post, Rebecca Rego Barry, the editor of “Fine Books & Collections,” is always hearing tales of new book-collecting adventures and “needle-in-a-haystack” finds. And fortunately for us , she has gathered more than 50 accounts of literary treasures discovered in unlikely places into a new book called Rare Books Uncovered, now available from Voyageur Press.”
Making an appearance in her book are rare treasures like Seven Little Stories on Big Subjects, an unsigned project from 1955 by the great Maurice Sendak, a French edition of Margaret Mitchell’s Gone with the Wind, and a copy of the I Ching once owned by Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page.
Needless to say, Rare Books Uncovered is a title that will draw a lot of attention from book collectors everywhere.
