Did you know that Charles Dickens once had a library of fake books “complete with witty names he thought up himself.” At least that’s according to this post from the Flavorwire archive. In September of 2012 the New York Public Library opened an exhibition entitled Charles Dickens: The Key to Character that “recreated a few books from Dickens’ clever set” with spine designs by Ann Sappenfield, courtesy NYPL.
