Greetings! Guess what? The Concurrent Sessions, Lively Lunches, Poster Sessions and Shotgun Sessions during the 2013 Charleston Conference are up! We are sorry that it takes so long but there are many issues that have to be settled beforehand! Everything on the Web is “tentative”, right, so if you see any issues, etc., please let us know! It’s another great program! Plus just to prove that TOO MUCH IS NOT ENOUGH, we are adding some few sessions and will let you know!  Please note that we are using the same sched.org again this year!  And a huge thanks to Beth Bernhardt and Leah Hinds for the hard work that went into getting all the information together and online!

Was concerned to learn that Linda and Dan Tonkery’s son, Andrew, was in a bike accident. Here is an Update on Andrew’s Condition from Dan’s Facebook page. “Linda and I are in LA where Andrew is still in the ICU at LAC USC Medical Center. He had a peaceful night last night and has said his name, birthdate, and knows his girlfriend. Baby steps but progress. Thanks to our many friends and family for the well wishes. Each day is progress. Thankful he is in a major Trauma Center.” Our thoughts and prayers are with Andrew and Dan and Linda.

Just saw that the handsomely efficient Nawin Gupta, Secretary General of the Association of Subscription Agents & Intermediaries celebrated his two-year anniversary. The Association of Subscription Agents & Intermediaries is the international trade association serving subscriptions agents, sales agents and other intermediaries providing products and services within the professional and scholarly information supply chain. And Nawin will be in Charleston in November!

Was interested to see that The Washington, D.C.-based news outlet The Hill is the source most followed on Twitter by members of Congress — Democrat and Republican alike. Great minds! Be sure and watch for Rachel Fleming’s  new Luminaries column about Twitter in the print September issue of ATG! Todd Carpenter, Jenica P. Rogers, Courtney Young, and Rachel herself comment on their use of Twitter!
