E. H. Butler Library, SUNY Buffalo State, invites applicants for two (2) full-time Academic Outreach/Engagement Librarian positions. These positions have been created to imbed library awareness and usability across the curriculum, regardless of modality. Working collaboratively with academic departments, computing services, instructional technology, and other academic units, these positions will develop a portfolio of in-person and online library learning modules which can be incorporated into instruction and effectively assessed. These positions will serve as liaisons to selected academic departments and units, and will plan, direct, and sustain library outreach, resources, and services that improve student learning outcomes. These positions will also serve as library public relations specialists, providing content and/or editing content for library documents, publications, and marketing initiatives in all formats. These positions are members of the Information Commons department and will be required to staff the reference desk approximately 10 hours per week, participate fully in the library instruction program, and be available to work some evenings and weekend hours as needed. The individuals in these tenure-track positions will have faculty rank and status and will need to fulfill all requirements for continuing appointment.
