Ingram Publisher Services Inc., an Ingram Content Group company, today announced the addition of three new publisher clients: ArtsMemphis, The Cooking Lab and Tharpa Publications.
ArtsMemphis, founded in 1963, is an organization created to raise funds to ensure excellence in the arts and to build a vibrant cultural community in Memphis, Tennessee. Funds from ArtsMemphis are used to provide support for nonprofit arts organizations, community projects with an arts focus and for arts education and outreach programs. Ingram Publisher Services will manage distribution of the popular ArtsMemphis title First Shooting Light (ISBN 978-0615211381), and the newly released cooking anthology Wild Abundance: Ritual, Revelry & Recipes of the South’s Finest Hunting Clubs (ISBN 978-0615398235).
The Cooking Lab, founded in 2010 by renowned inventor and expert in culinary and food science Dr. Nathan Myhrvold, is the publisher of the forthcoming book, Modernist Cuisine: The Art and Science of Cooking (ISBN 978-0982761007). The book, written by Dr. Myhrvold and acclaimed chefs and colleagues Chris Young and Maxime Bilet, is a six-volume 2,458-page set that includes more than 1,000 recipes and over 3,500 photographs and illustrations. The book, set to be released in March 2011, will be distributed by Ingram Publisher Services.
Tharpa Publications specializes in books on meditation and Buddhism. Their new release, Modern Buddhism (ISBN 978-1-61606-006-0), is the 21st book by best-selling author and Buddhist monk Geshe Kelsang Gyatso whose previous books have sold over 800,000 copies. Ingram Publisher Services will manage sales and distribution of all Tharpa Publication titles in the US market effective January 2011.
