Welcome to Rumors for the ATG Broadcast edition!
So much has happened since we put the last print issue to bed.
First, the deserving and wonderful Adam Chesler has a new job! It’s official. He is the Director of Content Management at ASTD (American Society for Training and Development). Adam is on the Charleston Conference Planning Committee and he says he will continue to be involved with all of us.
Speaking of the Charleston Conference, we have been getting many proposals for papers. Have you turned yours in yet?
And, one of our speakers is Brian Schottlaender (Audrey Geisel University Librarian at UC San Diego). Was noticing that Brian was recently elected to the OCLC Board of Trustees.
Just learned that Debbie Vaughn, one of our ATG book review editors, is going to have another baby. She sends word that Helen (her firstborn) is going to be a big sister!
Speaking of which, Cris Ferguson doesn’t have a column in the upcoming issue of ATG because, guess what? She will be occupied with Cullen’s new sibling who is due shortly. Stay tuned!
And last but not least, my beloved boss, Bob Neville, has had the nerve to announce his retirement June 30! We need a new Assistant Dean for Technical Services and please apply and/or send this announcement around to a colleague. And, don’t worry, yours truly is not applying so you won’t be stepping on my toes. Here is the job description.
There will be many more Rumors coming in the print June issue of ATG! See you soon!
