Knovel Selected as Finalist in 2010 American Business Awards

Knovel, a Web-based application integrating technical information with analytical and search tools, today announced that the Company has been named a Finalist in the 2010 American Business Awards. In 2009, Knovel added 21 new content partners, introduced Knovel Math, fully documented and validated Mathcad® worksheets for engineering calculations and launched My Knovel, a personalized space where users can save and organize frequently used content, titles and searches. These additions have positioned Knovel as a Finalist in the ‘New Product or Service of the Year – Computer Software’ category.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. This year’s Stevie Award winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 21, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

More than 2,700 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. Members of the Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and specialized final judging committees will select Stevie Award winners from among Finalists in final judging that will continue through May 28. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May.

Earlier this year, Knovel was selected as the Best Online Science or Technology Service within the content category of the SIIA’s 2010 CODiE Awards. Knovel Math was selected by the editors of Design News as a Best Product Finalist for the 2010 Golden Mousetrap Awards.
