Nominations are being accepted for the 2010 Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) Esther J. Piercy award. This award, a $1,500 grant and citation donated by YBP, Inc., recognizes contributions to library collections and technical services by a librarian with no more than 10 years of professional experience who has shown outstanding promise for continuing contribution and leadership. Winners will be chosen based on accomplishments related to technical services and resources in such areas as: leadership inprofessional associations at local, state, regional or national level; contributions to the development, application or utilization of new orimproved methods, techniques and routines; significant contribution toprofessional literature; and conduct of studies or research in thetechnical services.

Leah was appointed Executive Director of the Charleston Conference in 2017, and has served in various roles with the Charleston Information Group, LLC, since 2004. Prior to working for the conference, she was Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions for the College of Charleston for four years. She lives in a small town near Columbia, SC, with her husband and two kids where they raise a menagerie of farm animals.
