BookLocker.com has filed a class action lawsuit against Amazon.com in response to Amazon’s recent attempts to force all publishers using Print on Demand (POD) technology to pay Amazon to print their books. Amazon's policy would require that companies use BookSurge, the Charleston, SC-based company they bought in 2005. Booklocker is a POD publisher based in Maine.

2008-06-27 With all of the discussion and controversy over libraries lending Amazon's Kindle, we are interested to hear what Against the Grain readers think. We have posted a new poll on the front page to see how many libraries have bought a Kindle, and we have created a new forum where you can chime in about and tell us what you think.

2008-04-09 We currently do not have any way to offer IP access to our subscribers, we are investigating ways to implement this but it will not be implemented in the near future. Please remember that in order to have an online subscription, you must be subscribed to the print subscription and have given us a valid email address. Simply let us know if you are a print subscriber and are interested in getting an online subscription.
