HarperCollins Publishers audiobook catalogue now available as pay-per-use on bibliotheca’s cloudLibrary

Effective immediately, bibliotheca is pleased to welcome HarperCollins to its growing list of audiobook publishers participating in cloudLibrary’s pay-per-use model.

cloudLibrary launched the pay-per-use model in May of 2017. Since then, the program has been adopted by libraries world-wide, offering audiobooks from publishers such as Simon and Schuster, Hachette, Blackstone, Disney, and Scholastic. The addition of HarperCollins titles allows libraries to provide a growing array of popular content with no upfront costs.


 

The American Society for Nutrition Selects Oxford University Press as Publishing Partner for Nutrition Science Collection of Journals

The American Society for Nutrition is pleased to announce its new partnership with Oxford University Press to provide production, distribution and marketing services for the prestigious scientific journals in ASN’s Nutrition Science Collection. This agreement, which takes effect on January 1, 2018, begins a new era in ASN’s 90-year editorial tradition with its first external publishing partnership.


 

From Rice University: Nearly 1.5 million college students to use free textbooks this school year

Nearly 1.5 million U.S. college students are expected to save an estimated $145 million in the 2017-18 academic year by using free textbooks from OpenStax, the Rice University-based publisher of open education resource materials.
