The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) has adopted revised definitions for the FY 2016–2017 Academic Libraries Component as as result of public review comments and recommendations made by a joint Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and Association of College & Research Libraries, American Library Association (ACRL, ALA) task force in 2016. The task force is offering a free webinar to discuss these changes on Thursday, July 28, 2016, 1:00–2:30 p.m. eastern daylight time.

At this year’s SSP Annual Meeting, boundaries were stretched, ideas were challenged, and borders were crossed. If you weren’t able to attend or could not make it to all the sessions you would have liked to; not to worry. All of the sessions including keynotes, plenaries, and concurrent sessions, were recorded and are now available in the SSP Library. The SSP Library is open to the public, so please feel free to share this content with your colleagues, customers, and anyone interested in scholarly communication.

14-16 September 2016, London, UK

“…The ALPSP Conference provides a friendly forum in which to share information and knowledge and engage in open discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing publishing today. Speakers will present a range of views to encourage debate, and offer practical insights into the key issues facing today’s publishing community. In addition to the formal sessions, there is time for informal networking including the Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening, sponsored by the Copyright Clearance Center, and the Conference Awards Dinner and Quiz on Thursday night…”
