This fascinating post on the “Travels with Nathaniel” website tells the story of how a Center Methodist Episcopal Church first housed the personal art collection of a millionaire, then became the Provincetown Heritage Museum, and then the local town library.

But perhaps even more compelling is the story of the half-scale model of the Rose Dorothea, a fishing schooner that “is still a very cool part of the Public Library today especially considering the ship is located in the Gerald and Henry Fowler-Bombardier Children’s Library and the bookshelves around it have been built to resemble waves…”

(Thanks, as always, to John Riley of Gabriel Books for providing ATG Quirkies!)
