The sound of squeaky book carts meandering through the stacks at your local library may become a thing of the past.  At least, if the creators of the Telelift book transport system have anything to say about it.

According to this post in at bustle.com, they have created “an intricately designed system of carts, conveyors, rails, and magnetic switches,” that “brings books from the stacks to different locations in the library. Yep, it’s basically a roller coaster transport system. For books.”

Check it out the Telelift, single book transportation system in action at this library in Stuttgart, Germany
