Ever wonder why you might need a 3D printer in your library?

Check out how the guys at LeFabShop, a French 3D printing outfit, 3D printed their own ‘Force Awakens’ lightsaber on the TechCrunch website. Is that cool or what! And even better “they’ve shared the printable files on Thingiverse, so you can print one of your own.”

P.S. Here’s the YouTube video for the lightsaber construction. For some reason it breaks up on the TechCrunch page.

  1. It is truly inspiring to see young people so interested in science and engineering. I had no idea that 3-D printing so was so advanced. Thank you Jacob for bring me up to date!
