LYRASIS Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer |
Atlanta, GA – August 12 – LYRASIS welcomes Michael Giordano as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). The addition of Mr. Giordano comes amidst continued growth of the LYRASIS Digital initiative and as member libraries and cultural heritage organizations are increasingly participating in LYRASIS Digital programs and services.
Joining LYRASIS on August 1, 2013, Mr. Giordano brings both technology expertise and operational effectiveness that align with the demand for the LYRASIS Digital programs. These programs include the Digitization Collaborative, Repository Services, Digital and Preservation efforts, Evergreen implementation and a host of other related services. LYRASIS is looking forward to its programs and members benefiting from Mr. Giordano’s deep experience with software-as-a-service (SaaS), cloud computing, service center operations, and technology development and support. Mr. Giordano comes to LYRASIS from Accenture Software.
As COO, Mr. Giordano is responsible for LYRASIS’ operations and activities. He is charged with ensuring a culture of organizational flexibility and agility that is responsive to members’ needs, and providing actionable plans to achieve collaborative business and community goals.
