Springer launches the “Springer Book Archives”
Springer now offers online access to 37,000 historic, English-language eBooks with the launch of the Springer Book Archives (SBA) at the 2013 American Library Association’s Midwinter Meeting (ALA MW). The SBA will be completed by the end of this year, and when finished researchers, students and librarians will be able to access more than 170 years of science through 100,000 titles, available anywhere, at anytime, via Springer’s online platform, SpringerLink (link.springer.com).
Accessible Archives Announces Five New Databases
Accessible Archives, Inc.©, a publisher of electronic full-text searchable historical databases, is expanding its existing collection through the addition of five new titles:![]()
- National Anti-Slavery Standard 1840-1870. Sister publication of The Liberator, this official newspaper of the American Anti-Slavery Society sought to extend the rights of slaves across the country and implied not only suffrage rights for colored males, but also advocated suffrage for women…”
- National Citizen and Ballot Box 1876-1881. This monthly journal was owned and edited by Matilda Joslyn Gage, founding member of the National Woman Suffrage Association. Deeply involved in feminist causes, Gage helped lead and publicize the suffrage movement in the United States…
