One of the well established traditions of the Charleston Conference is the presentation of the Vicky Speck Leadership Award, which honors the late Vicky Speck, Editorial Director at ABC-CLIO until 2005. This year, the award was presented to Ramune Kubilius, Collection Development/Special Projects Librarian at the Galter Health Sciences Library of the Northwestern University School of Medicine. The award consists of $500 cash and a plaque.
