JoAnne Sparks is the New University Librarian, Macquarie University
Judyth Sachs, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Provost) at Macquarie University has announced that “JoAnne Sparks of Griffith University will be the next University Librarian commencing in the New Year, following the imminent retirement of Maxine Brodie.
University Librarian is an extremely important position in our learning and teaching community, and I am heartened to see someone of JoAnne’s considerable experience ready to step in to the very large shoes that Maxine will leave…”
Citing the Miami Hurricane, the student newspaper of the University of Miami, InfoDOCKET reports that “almost four decades after he began working for the Taubman Health Sciences Library at the School of Dentistry,” Bill Walker “is stepping down from his post as the dean of libraries at the end of the spring semester. His last day will be May 31, 2013. When he leaves, Walker will have worked for the university for 10 years…”
“Follett Corporation today announced that the company’s Board of Directors has elected Mary Lee Schneider as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 26, 2012. Schneider joins Follett after serving as RR Donnelley’s President, Digital Solutions and Chief Technology Officer. She also served on Follett’s Board of Directors for 11 years…”
