Research Librarian for the Nestlé Hospitality Library – Cornell University

The Nestlé Hospitality Library within the newly-opened Marriot Student Learning Center seeks … candidates for the professional position of SHA Research Librarian. The Library contributes to the development, implementation, and assessment of exceptional research and instruction support programs in Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration (SHA). In additional to traditional library techniques, this may involve creating strategies for data-mining the social web, using strong quantitative skills to unmask trends in real estate information, or helping to build new learning tools such as mobile applications. Above all, the incumbent must be excited by the opportunity to develop the programs and services needed for the 21^st century digital information environment at the premiere hospitality management school.

Reporting to the Coordinator of Research Services, this position is part of the Research and Learning Services (RLS) department. RLS emphasizes a team-based approach to meeting patrons’ ever-expanding information needs and is responsible for providing research, teaching and learning, outreach, and collection development services as part of the Hospitality, Labor, and Management Library. The HLM Library provides services to Cornell’s specialized business and labor Schools, including Hotel Administration, ILR, and Management, with over 1800 undergraduates, 1300 graduate students, 140 resident faculty, and extensive distance education, executive education, and extension programs. Science Reference/Instruction Librarian, University of Georgia

The Science Reference/Instruction Librarian is responsible to the Head of the Reference Department for assisting students, faculty, and staff in making effective use of library and other internet resources, and citation management programs including EndNote. To achieve this goal, the Science Reference/Instruction Librarian provides in-person and virtual reference assistance, library instruction sessions, departmental office hours, and one-on-one in-depth consultations in all areas of the sciences with a special focus on assigned liaison departments. The Science Reference/Instruction Librarian develops web pages and other guides for faculty who wish to incorporate research resources into their curriculum. QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:
ALA-accredited MLS; Bachelor’s degree in the sciences or demonstrated interest in library research in the sciences; Ability to develop instruction sessions and to instruct users effectively both individually and in the classroom setting; Commitment to student and faculty research and teaching in the sciences; Knowledge of virtual reference services; Knowledge of web design and instructional technologies; Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities; Effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to create and maintain productive, long-term, effective working relationships; Demonstrated ability to work with diverse students, faculty, and colleagues.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: Minimum entry-level annual salary is $38,000. UGA librarians are non-tenured faculty members. Technology Consultant – Colorado State Library

The Colorado State Library is looking for a dynamic and innovative leader to join the Network and Resource Sharing team as a Technology Consultant.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Two or more years of experience with HTML and CSS, Javascript, PHP, XML and web analytics.

4. Experience developing and delivering online and face-to-face instruction and training.
