IGI Global Announces Recipient of 2012 Charleston Conference Academic Librarian Sponsorship

IGI Global, an international publishing company specializing in applied research publications on all aspects of information technology management, is proud to announce the 2012 Charleston Conference Academic Librarian Sponsorship recipient: Marie Bloechle, Electronic Acquisitions Librarian of the University of North Texas, Denton, TX.

In recognition of her outstanding achievements in the field of Library Information Science, IGI Global is pleased to honor Ms. Bloechle with a $500 stipend for her attendance of the 2012 Charleston Conference in Charleston, South Carolina from November 7th to November 10th.

About Marie Bloechle

Marie is the Electronic Acquisitions Librarian at the University of North Texas. UNT is one of the nation’s largest public research universities with over 36,000 students. Prior to UNT, she spent 20 years as a corporate librarian, most recently as a research specialist at Verizon where she conducted industry research and marketed electronic resources to company employees. She earned her MLS from Texas Woman’s University in 1987. She currently serves as the Webmaster for the TLA’s College & University Libraries Division. Recent conference presentations include: Computers in Libraries, the Acquisitions Institute at Timberline Lodge, and the Brick & Click Academic Symposium. Her research topics focus on green librarianship, student demographic research, and the use of technology in academic library settings.
