NEWSFLASH: Scholarships available for the Charleston Conference
There are now a number of scholarships available to defray the cost of attending the 2012 Charleston Conference – the premier gathering of library and publishing professions dedicated to discussing “issues in acquisitions and collection development.” As always, the program promises to be jam packed with exciting and thought provoking presentations. Couple that with the beautiful and historic city of Charleston, SC and you have an event that is sure to be the highlight of your professional year.
Here are the scholarship opportunities:
- 2012 American Chemical Society Charleston Scholarship
The ACS Charleston Scholarship awards $1,500 to a library professional or para-professional currently working in a library. Application details and deadline.
- 2012 EBSCO Charleston Conference Scholarship
The EBSCO Charleston Conference Scholarship will award up to $1,000 to a qualifying librarian or para-professional. Application details and deadlines.
- Elsevier’s 2012 Library Connect Charleston Conference Award
Elsevier’s Library Connect Charleston Conference Award will provide up to $1,500 to a qualifying librarian who has been accepted to present at the XXXII Annual Charleston Conference for the first time.

- IGI Global’s Academic Librarian Sponsorship Program
In an ongoing effort to help librarians grow professionally and increase their understanding of the changing state of knowledge resources, IGI Global will award one librarian a $500 stipend for attendance of the 2012 Charleston Conference.

- 2012 Swets Charleston Conference Scholarship
The Swets Charleston Conference Scholarship will award $1,000 to a qualifying librarian or para-professional. Application information and deadline.
