Title: Head of Discovery Services
Organization: Trinity University

Born and Lived: Although I’ve been living in San Antonio, Texas now for 10 years, I still have a Chicago accent. Northern Illinois will always be home.
Professional Career and Activities: Taught ESL in Ukraine and in community colleges stateside, then head of cataloging, and now I implement and manage discovery systems (catalogs, discovery systems, institutional repository, vendor platforms, etc)
Family: Two nephews. I call the older one, “My everything bagel.” The younger one calls me his, “Other mommy.” Is there any thing better than that?
Favorite Books: Anything by Dostoyevsky, Master and the Margarita, Fifth Business, The Crimson Petal and the White, Native Son. But nowadays I mostly read twitter
How/Where I See the Industry in Five Years: “Open Access” becoming regular access, vendors re-thinking their roles, academia re-thinking its role, emphasis on access (less on purchase?) at a more granular and just-in-time level, enhanced discovery tools/tech development changing our landscape.
