Local Knowledge Online (LKO), and ebrary are partnering to offer individuals (not libraries) the ability to “freely search and browse a comprehensive and current selection of business eBooks from ebrary’s growing collections and for the first time, have the option of subscribing to these collections.”

AIP Publishing Partners with MathJax

“AIP Publishing, a division of the American Institute of Physics, has become a MathJax partner by providing major funding to the MathJax initiative, and now offers MathJax to render mathematics in its online journals. MathJax is an open-source JavaScript display engine that produces high-quality math in all modern browsers, without plugins or other special set-up requirements.”

Africa Portal Celebrates 1st Anniversary of Online Activity

IMLS Seeks Feedback on Digital Inclusiveness Framework

As reported in Digital Shift, “the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), in conjunction with the International City/County Management Association and the Seattle-based University of Washington Information School’s Technology & Social Change Group, earlier this month announced its draft framework proposal [PDF] on building “digitally inclusive communities.” The organizations are seeking public input on the proposal via an online survey through this Wednesday, November 30; survey results will be used to finalize the framework, according to the announcement.”
