Announcing a New Partnership between Rittenhouse Book Distributors and Oxford Scholarship Online

Oxford University Press and Rittenhouse Book Distributors, Inc. are pleased to announce a new partnership between Oxford Scholarship Online – Medicine and Health Care (OSO) and the R2 Digital Library. This partnership will result in seamless and integrated use for OSO subscribers and R2 Digital Library users…As a result of this customer-driven partnership, R2 Digital Library users are now able to access content within their OSO subscription directly from their R2 Digital Library profile. The outcome for the end user is a single browser session that weaves multiple resources together in a seamless and intuitive manner.

R2 Digital Library users can access their OSO subscription in the Advanced Search area of their R2 Profile at www.R2library.com

Collaborat​ive Librarians​hip–New Issue’ Call for Papers

Collaborative Librarianship – Publication of Vol. 3, no. 3 (Fall 2011), The open access journal, Collaborative Librarianship, (eISSN: 1943-7528) has published the 3rd issue of Volume 3.  Scholarly articles cover: user participation in resource description, information literacy programs, web aps using HTML5, using Facebook in library course materials,  and automating ILL operations.  The issue also includes reviews, opinion pieces and news pertaining to collaboration, updated daily or weekly.

Collaborative Librarianship: Call for Papers – Are you involved in some interesting, innovative or experimental aspect of library collaboration?  Is your library exploring or implementing resources or services that build on, promote, or expand the scope of library collaboration?  Are you critically reflecting on the methodology, theory or philosophy of why and how librarians, libraries or library consortia work together?  If so, we would like to hear from you!  Please consider submitting articles for “peer review” or “From the Field” sections of Collaborative Librarianship.  Reader responses to articles and opinion pieces also are welcomed. Submissions can be made directly through the CL website. Issues will be published in March, June, September and December each year, and deadlines for submissions are 4 months in advance of publication.
