ATG Hot Topic of the Week: Building Digital Knowledge

ACRL has signed the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and the Humanities, and is encouraging academic libraries to do the same.
Speaking of bringing knowledge online, the Digital Public Library of America is just the tip of the iceberg. All of us need to be aware of several huge digital projects in the making, which Charles Henry, President of CLIR, described at their symposium in Milwaukee this week.
Meanwhile, academic faculty are building their own digital textbooks. E-textbooks are really taking off, with new tools available to help create them. The Chronicle has the rundown.
