Libraries that subscribe to Alexander Street Press’ Women and Social Movements, International will be glad to know that the database has been updated with 23,386 pages. According to the website “there are 89,736 pages and 2,556 sources in Women and Social Movements, International.”

We received a notice from Berkshire Publishing that their reference titles are “no longer available through EBSCO eBooks (formerly NetLibrary). Berkshire ebooks purchased through NetLibrary or EBSCO, will continue to be hosted by EBSCO. But there are lots of other options: Berkshire ebooks and databases are available through Credo Reference, GVRL, Amazon Kindle, etc.”
ABC-CLIO is publishing a two volume set entitled Encyclopedia of School Crime and Violence that includes coverage issues like “theft, bullying, cybercrime, violence, and sexual assault,” as well as examines specific events like “Columbine and Virginia Tech” as well as including information on “some cases outside the United States.”
This Encyclopedia of Right-Wing Extremism in Modern American History is a single volume work also recently published by ABC-CLIO that covers “American right-wing extremist groups and extremism from the 1930s to the present day, including neo-Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan, and various anti-government organizations.”
CQ Press has just released Cities in American Political History, a single volume reference that “explores the urban history of America by profiling its ten most populous cities during ten critical eras of U.S. development.”
Career Transitions, Gale’s online career service tool has undergone an overhaul. Enhanced features include “a new user interface, reporting tools for gauging user activity and additional job-seeking and career exploration activities.” According to Gale, “these enhancements allow for easier and faster user access and career assessment, and were implemented based on extensive customer and user feedback.”
