Despite the increasing popularity of tablets like the iPad, standalone e-book readers still have a following. This may surprise some but in his Wired.Com review, Michael Calore highlights a number of reasons e-book readers endure while at the same time commenting on the major players in the tablet market. He reviews the Kindle, the Nook and the Kobo Touch among the e-ink readers and then discusses the iPad2, various Android tablets and the now-discontinued HP TouchPad. Michael also provides a link to a companion piece by Eric Blattberg that wonders “Are Textbook Publishers Blowing It…”
