IGI Global Announces Academic Librarian Sponsorship Opportunity for Charleston Conference

In an ongoing effort to help librarians grow professionally and increase their understanding of the changing state of knowledge resources, IGI Global will award one librarian a $500 stipend for attendance of the 2011 Charleston Conference in Charleston, South Carolina, November 2-5, 2011.

To apply for this sponsorship opportunity, librarians are asked to submit a 250-word essay on why they should be awarded the stipend. They should describe how publishers and librarians can best interact to further the advancement of knowledge resources, how their own knowledge of the industry will help librarians enhance uses of modern technology in their institutions, and how librarians can help make cutting-edge resources for students and faculty more discoverable.

All interested librarians must submit their essay by October 10, 2011 to be considered for the award.
