Second Annual Publishing Innovation Awards
The second annual Publishing Innovation Awards are sponsored by Digital Book World, Sony and Barnes & Noble’s Nook. They are given to “the most innovative ebooks, enhanced ebooks, and book apps in 14 categories.” The awards have added a new wrinkle this year. Winners will receive “the QED Seal, which stands for Quality, Excellence, Design.” Entered Ebook titles “will go through a thorough, professional 13-point design review with an eye towards readability across multiple devices and in multiple formats.” The deadline is November 1, 2011.
