Last Chance to Register! MidSouth eResources Symposium
Registration has been extended through 8:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2011, for the Mid-South E-Resources Symposium being held at Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS on August 11, 2011.
The Symposium will host keynote speaker Matt Goldner, Product and Technology Advocate at OCLC, who will discuss cloud computing and the future of libraries. In addition, speaker topics include ways to use Drupal to manage e-resource licensing and database information, sustaining collections with pay-per-view models, delivering e-books through patron-driven-access, and EBSCOhost’s new e-book platform.
Come join us for this day long gathering of librarians, library staff, and library science students, featuring a focused symposium on the use and management of electronic resources in libraries. This event provides a unique and affordable opportunity to enhance knowledge of issues surrounding the acquisition, operation, collection and management of e-resources in libraries today.
