BookLamp Beta Testing Book Recommendation Service ala Pandora
This beta website matches readers to books “through an analysis of writing styles” and a comparison of the content of the books, “similar to the way thatPandora.com matches music lovers to new music.” According to their website BookLamp attempts to help readers “find books with similar themes and writing style to books … enjoyed in the past.” But they also want user input. “We don’t claim to be perfect. We’re the first to point out some of the idiosyncrasies of our tools. But we get better every day, and you can help us do that. Use the site; we’ll learn from your interaction. If you like what we’re doing, let us know. We need publishers willing to work with us on the project. So if you know one, introduce us. There’s lots of ways to help.”
