Bit of a non-story as reported–the Cornell news flash. We librarians appear a bit lame. Back when I was negotiating, I preferred all the back story, rumor, and special information. The level playing field–don’t know if that is the best for anyone. Also you’ve got to believe those in the biz are always one step ahead where money is concerned. How could this become a real story?
