Pay-per-View purchasing issue on SciVerse ScienceDirect
Due to a bug found in the release for SciVerse ScienceDirect on February 26th, Pay-per-View (PPV) purchasing by credit card will be temporarily deactivated for your account. This bug found in our release affects only those customers who are currently using a ScienceDirect drawdown account with pre-paid credits [also known as Allowances, Drawdown Numbers, DD Dollars, and Credit Cap (from here on referred to as a DD Account)].
If you are currently using a DD Account, this bug would erroneously cause administrators or users who attempt to purchase an unsubscribed article to be automatically directed to PPV to purchase the article via credit card instead of allowing them to purchase from the DD Account. This means that credit card purchasing will have to be temporarily turned off for your account as a work around until this issue can be corrected. We are working hard to resolve this issue for the upcoming release scheduled for May.
We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
Please contact us with any questions you might have regarding this issue.
