SNCA announces C. David Jackson Memorial Scholarshi​p to attend archives conference in Morehead City, March 30-April 1

The Society of North Carolina Archivists offers a scholarship that pays up to $500 for attendance at the 2011 SNCA/SCAA Joint Conference and pre-conference workshops. The C. David Jackson Memorial Scholarship may be used for meeting registration, pre-conference workshops, lodging, meals and travel expenses. A one-year membership in SNCA will also be included with the scholarship. Reimbursement will be made, based on a statement of expenses submitted with accompanying receipts, by June 1 of the calendar year in which the meeting takes place.

Applicants must either be employed in the archival profession in North Carolina with little or no access to institutional support for professional development, or be a student enrolled in an archival studies program in North Carolina. Volunteers who have a primary responsibility for archival materials in an institution may also apply. A previous SNCA scholarship recipient may not make further applications.
