Good morning, and happy Wednesday!  Today I wonder… how do you feel about going paperless at conferences?  I just read an article on the Chronicle’s website, Going Paperless at Conferences, by Mark Green.  What do you think?  Are you comfortable going paperless?  Or do you want the hard copy in your hand?  Have you gone paperless before?  If yes, tell us about your experience.  If no, why not?

  1. I don’t think I’ve gone to a completely paperless conference but they are certainly becoming less “paperful”. I like this trend. Honestly, I never liked the piles of paper handed out to people at these things. Does anyone actually use it all? What about after the conference? What about a year down the road? I have a bad habit of not throwing things out so I appreciate not being given something to begin with. If it’s electronic/online then it’s not taking up actual space, it’s not using up non-renewable resources, I will probably be more willing and able to use it, and I will have less scruples about deleting it.
