Book News Announces Consolidation
From Book News, Feb. 16, 2011:
Book News Inc. has combined its two bibliographies into a single, more timely and comprehensive bi-monthly journal. We’ve retained the Reference and Research Book News imprint, ISSN, and numbering, but now include all the content previously split between Reference and Research Book News and SciTech Book News.
As before, reviews are arranged by Library of Congress subject classification code. Publication frequency has increased to six times a year shortening the time between review copy receipt and publication by one month. A searchable electronic edition of Reference and Research Book News, scheduled to debut later this month, is included with subscription. The price remains unchanged despite the significant enhancements to content, frequency, and accessibility. Book News prepares concise, descriptive reviews of new books in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities for librarians and other buyers of scholarly books. The company covers titles from hundreds of English-language publishers worldwide and licenses its content to a wide range of booksellers, aggregators and database publishers.
Book News is located in Portland, Oregon. More information can be found at www.booknews.com. Please contact us for a sample issue: (503) 281-9230 or booknews@booknews.com.
