Copyright Officer, Milner Library
The Copyright Officer within Milner Library will provide leadership in developing University and library copyright policy and best practices; advise faculty, staff and students on the copyright aspects of scholarship and teaching; enhance the University community’s understanding of scholarly communication issues; and advocate for alternative publishing models. This position requires an ALA-accredited master’s degree; second advanced degree required (J.D. preferred); experience working with copyright and scholarly communication issues in higher education, especially related to publication and course-related use of copyrighted materials, including media; experience developing and presenting workshops; excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; and strong service orientation.
