We caught up with Kathleen McEvoy, Public Relations Manager at EBSCO, regarding the recent acquisition.
ATG: We understand that EBSCO Publishing has purchased the assets of OCLC’s NetLibrary Division. What does the NetLibrary Division consist of exactly? What will happen to the personnel who are employed there? How many are there?
EP: NetLibrary is run out of Boulder, Colorado. EBSCO Publishing acquired the NetLibrary platform for delivering eBooks and eAudio books, and all the related technology & infrastructure. EBSCO officials were able to travel to Boulder to meet with our new employees and to provide employees with information about EBSCO Publishing and the goals for NetLibrary. We are excited to be working with this talented team of dedicated professionals.
