Lyrasis E-Resource Licensing: Overview and How-to for the Non-Lawyer: Seats Are Still Available!
During this workshop , participants will become familiar with the basic parts of a resource license; gain experience reading license terms with special attention paid to permissions; and in learning how to spot limitations and exclusions in the language, learn how to avoid getting stuck with an unfavorable license.
Learning Outcomes – at the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Define general license terms
- Analyze and explain a variety of permissions statements
- Suggest revisions/remedies to unfavorable license language
